About me

Hello,
My name is Matthew and was born the 2nd of february 1985 in Ghent, a very nice city in Belgium. I studied modern languages and economy during secondary education untill the age of 15. Everything started since, I moved to France, finished school and graduated sucessfully.

Later on I went to the ESMA Art School in Montpellier where I took a course in 3d animation and special effects. In order to graduate there I had to produce a short movie during the last year of school.

 

The movie was created together with 2 other students guided by our teachers. We created a short movie from scratch; wrote the script, drew a storyboard, modelled, animated and composed everything in place. It was a very instructive experience that helped us understand what a real animation movie-production is about.

 

After three years of hard work I now have a lot of knowledge in 3d and design software. All my 3d modelling is done in Maya 2010, I especially love the texturing techniques where I can express myself using some great tools as Photoshop, 3d unfold and Zbrush or Mudbox for some stunning details. I have finished my studies 2 years ago at the ESMA Art School in Montpellier and I’m always looking for new challenges. I love to work with people from different nationalities, some times in a team other times as freelancer. I'm always looking for new ways to impress my clients and stay as up to date as possible with the constantly evolving 3d techniques and software.
